Schüttelreime or shake-up rhymes, as a literary genre, are characterized by the manifold application of the same material with a very peculiar modification.

The exhibition features a topography of "horror vacui" and of claustrophobia among others, and attempts to map their relation to associative reasoning. The exhibition's strategy will be inclusive, dealing simultaneously with the rigidity of minimalism, and with the indiscipline of automatist drawing and writing principles, in order to fill the distance between the sublime and the irrational with more subversive, visual strategies. The exhibition's mental horizon will be an investigation into representations of desire, pleasures, death and anxiety.
